Our first sewing course has been very successful.
The beginner ladies, Helen, Charlotte and Vicki have learn't how to set up a machine and some basic sewing techniques. Their first project was to sew a wrap skirt featuring pintucks and lace along the hemline. Charlotte has finished her skirt with the other ladies not far behind.
The skirt had seams, darts, turned hem, pintucking, bias binding and lace embellishment. Also the ladies placed and cut their own fabric pattern pieces out ready to sew.
The advanced ladies chose their own garments or alterations to sew. Ruby has been making a jumpsuit for her baby girl, Andrea has been making a pair of pants and Viv has been busy with alterations and pattern making.
All the ladies are becoming more confident with their sewing skills and producing some great garments.
WELL DONE LADIES
